We established our Charlotte repair bench in 2024 out of frustration with retail big-box repair chains. Most retail service counters try to sell customer replacements rather than clean functional silicon. A desktop tower overheating at 95°C rarely has a blown capacitor or a dead processor. In nine cases out of ten, it has a dense lint carpet choking the radiator fins and dry, chalked compound that lost its conductivity two summers ago.
What happens on our service bench?
Cleaneeus Workshop performs four core preventative hardware services: desktop tower cleaning ($79–$125 per visit), laptop thermal servicing ($79–$149 per visit), hardware diagnostics ($75–$125 per hour), and on-site Charlotte dispatch ($50 flat travel fee).
Every physical job follows electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety protocols. When an intake chassis reaches our bench, we ground the chassis to a dedicated earth bus, disconnect primary lithium and power delivery rails, and extract compacted debris with an electronics-safe vacuum and antistatic goat-hair brushes. We unmount heatsinks, dissolve hardened factory paste using 99% isopropyl alcohol wipes, and apply fresh Noctua NT-H2 or Arctic MX-6 compound.
Before closing any machine, we spin-test cooling fan bearings, verify cold-plate mounting pressure, and run thermal stress validation passes in Cinebench and Furmark to verify core temperatures remain stable under full operational load.

What will our workshop refuse to do?
Clear boundaries maintain service quality. We refuse motherboard micro-soldering, liquid metal delidding on direct-die processors, and board-level trace repair. If a graphics card has failed VRAM chips or a shorted MOSFET, we identify the fault during hourly diagnostic testing ($75–$125/hr) and recommend component replacement rather than billing you for speculative soldering.
We also refuse ungrounded blowouts using generic canned air held upside down. Canned propellant releases freezing liquid fluorocarbons that crack hot silicon dies and condense moisture into circuit vias. Everything on our bench is dry, grounded, and ESD-controlled.
